Senator Mike McLane

Mike McLane, a member of the Republican Party, serves in the Oregon State Senate representing District 30. He assumed office on January 13, 2025, and his current term is set to conclude on January 8, 2029.

McLane’s journey into public service is marked by a diverse and accomplished career. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in agricultural resource economics from Oregon State University in 1987, followed by a Juris Doctor from Lewis and Clark Law School. His professional background includes roles as an attorney, circuit court judge, and law clerk for the Oregon Supreme Court. Beyond his legal career, McLane co-founded a publishing company, where he served as CEO and co-authored the children’s book Wooden Teeth and Jelly Beans. His commitment to service extended to the military, where he was an officer in the Oregon Air National Guard as a staff judge advocate and also served in the Army National Guard.
