Abigail Salisbury is a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, representing the 34th Legislative District in Allegheny County. She was elected to the House in 2023.

Salisbury was born in Conneaut, Ohio. She graduated from Fairview High School in 2000. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Case Western Reserve University in 2004, a master’s degree in public policy and management from the University of Pittsburgh in 2007, and a juris doctor from the University of Pittsburgh in 2013.

Before her election to the House, Salisbury served as a council member in Swissvale from 2018 to 2022, and she was the council president from 2020 to 2022. She ran an unsuccessful campaign for the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 2022, but was elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in a Special Election on February 7, 2023. She was sworn in on February 21, 2023.

Salisbury’s key issues include updating infrastructure, standing up for human rights for all citizens, fostering small business development, supporting public schools, and preserving the environment. She resides with her husband in Swissvale.

In the House, Salisbury serves on several committees, including the Appropriations Committee, the Commerce Subcommittee on Financial Services and Banking, the Subcommittee on Local Business, the Committee On Committees, the Environmental Resources & Energy Committee, and the Liquor Control Committee. She is also a member of the Allegheny County Delegation, the Pennsylvania Charitable Nonprofit Caucus (where she serves as Chair), the Bipartisan Film Caucus, the Jewish Legislative Caucus, and the Non-Profit Organizations Caucus.
