Heather Boyd is an American politician and a member of the Democratic party. She represents the 163rd district in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.

Heather Boyd won a special election to represent the 163rd Legislative District in May 2023. She has a wealth of knowledge and experience in public policy and constituent service. Prior to taking office, she served as the District Director and Senior Advisor for Congresswoman Mary Gay Scanlon. Before that, she served as Chief of Staff in the neighboring 161st Legislative District.

From 2015 to 2018, Heather served as an elected member of the Upper Darby School Board. During her tenure, she became a leading advocate for innovative education reforms like free school breakfast and lunch for all students. This initiative ensured that no child went hungry, no child was left out, and every child had the best opportunity possible to succeed.

In addition to her political career, Heather has an academic background. She taught History and Art History at the high school and college level for 10 years. She also founded the Delaware County Chapter of NOW.

Heather resides in Drexel Hill with her husband Sean and her two school-aged children. She is also the mom of two grown foster children and has a three-year-old granddaughter.

In the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, Heather Boyd is part of several committees and caucuses including Game & Fisheries, Health, Labor & Industry, Southeast Delegation, and Criminal Justice Reform Caucus.
