Joe Kerwin, affiliated with the Republican Party, serves as a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, representing District 125. He commenced his term on December 1, 2020, and his current tenure is scheduled to conclude on November 30, 2024.

Joe Kerwin is currently serving his second term in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. He is a life-long resident of northern Dauphin County and was raised in Lykens. His parents instilled in him the values of hard work, faith, love for America, and community service. These values have been the guiding principles of his life and career.

Joe is a graduate of Upper Dauphin Area High School, the Pennsylvania State University, and the Dickinson School of Law. He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and a juris doctor law degree. He was admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar in 2019 after passing the Pennsylvania Bar Exam.

At the age of 19, Joe enlisted in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard. He commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Army Infantry in 2015 after completing ROTC at Penn State. Over the past decade, Joe has served in a variety of leadership positions in the Infantry. He continues to serve and is presently a Captain with the 56th Stryker Brigade. Joe is a graduate of numerous professional military schools including Army Ranger School and Army Airborne School.

Before being elected to the House of Representatives, Joe served Dauphin County as a deputy district attorney. He worked with law enforcement to keep illegal drugs off our streets and reduce violent crime in Dauphin County. As a criminal prosecutor, he handled countless juvenile and adult criminal cases, securing criminal convictions for both misdemeanor and felony offenses. Joe also has experience in civil law practice with an emphasis in wills, trusts, and estates.

Joe is very active in his community and is a member of several organizations including the Knights of Columbus, Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church, the American Legion Post 239, the National Rifle Association, the Catholic War Veterans of America, the Pennsylvania House Second Amendment Caucus, and the Short Mountain Conservation Club. He presently resides in Upper Paxton township.

The 125th Legislative District, which Joe represents, is comprised of part of Dauphin County, consisting of several townships and boroughs.
