Representative Mandy Steele
Mandy Steele is a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, representing the 33rd district. She was elected to the House in 2022 and assumed office on January 3, 2023.
Born and raised in O’Hara Township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, Steele graduated from the University of Pittsburgh. She is a mother of four children and has made significant contributions to her community.
Before her political career, Steele founded and operated two nonprofit organizations. In 2019, she became the first woman and Democrat elected to the Fox Chapel Borough Council. Her work in the council was recognized and appreciated by the community.
In the 2022 elections, Steele ran for the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to represent District 33 as a member of the Democratic Party. She won the general election held on November 8, 2022.
As a representative, Steele has been involved in various committees including Consumer Protection, Technology & Utilities, Secretary Agriculture & Rural Affairs, Environmental Resources & Energy, Game & Fisheries, and Professional Licensure. She is also a part of the Allegheny County Delegation, Bipartisan Reform Caucus, Climate Caucus, PA Black Maternal Health Caucus, and Sportsmen’s Caucus.
