Nikki Rivera, a member of the Democratic Party, serves in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, representing District 96. She assumed office on December 1, 2024, and her current term is set to conclude on November 30, 2026.
Born in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, Nikki Rivera has dedicated her life to education and public service. She graduated from Carlisle Area School District and earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 1994. She further pursued her passion for teaching by obtaining a teaching certificate from Shippensburg University in 1995. Her career as a high school Spanish teacher in the Warwick School District spans three decades, during which she has made significant contributions to the academic and personal growth of her students.
Rivera’s commitment to fostering inclusive environments is evident in her roles as a GSA club advisor for LGBTQ students and as an advisor for the Spanish Honor Society. She has also been an active member of the SAP team, connecting students with essential mental and physical health resources to ensure their success in school. Her dedication to education extended beyond the classroom as she served as a school board member for Manheim Township School District from 2016 to 2024, holding positions such as school board president and IU-13 board vice president.
