Senator Wilson Román López

Representative Wilson J. Román of District 17 of the House of Representatives of Puerto Rico grew up in the municipality of Aguadilla for the first few years and has lived in Moca most of his time. He studied at the Carmen Gómez Tejera elementary school, Agustín Stral Middle School and graduated from the José de Diego Higher School, obtaining his diploma with the degree of Honor. In 1999, he completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico.

In 1998, he began working in the Housing Department, in the Office of the defunct CRUV. In 2000 he was recruited by Mayor Eustaquio Vélez of the municipality of Moca where he created the Territorial Planning and Planning Office, in addition to preparing the Municipal Territorial Planning plan. In 2001 and part of 2002 he directed the Municipal Public Works Department of the Municipality of Moca. From 2009 to 2012 he was Regional Director of the Public Buildings Authority in Aguadilla. In 2017 he also held that position. He belonged to the JCI Organization (Junior Chamber, Inc.), holding the positions of National Vice President and Local President.

In his free time, what he is passionate about is sharing with his son and family, promoting family unity. His vocation is to serve his people and he thanks them for the trust of having chosen him as their Representative and in this new assignment that they have given him the opportunity to carry out, he wants to work hand in hand with his District, providing quality service, addressing their situations and resolving the same. “Serving is the best work of a life”.
