Senator Jeff Zell

Jeff Zell is a Republican member of the South Carolina State Senate, representing District 36. He assumed office on November 11, 2024, and his current term is set to end on November 13, 2028.

Born on March 18, 1980, in Bellefontaine, Ohio, Zell has a distinguished background in public service and leadership. He served in the United States Air Force for two decades, from 2002 to 2022, retiring with an impressive record of dedication and commitment. During his military career, he earned an associate degree from the Community College of the Air Force in 2013 and later graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree from American Military University in 2024.

Zell’s journey into politics began with his involvement in local governance. He served as a trustee for District 8 on the Sumter School District’s board, where he demonstrated his passion for education and community development.
