Representative Jermaine Johnson

Jermaine Johnson is a member of the Democratic Party serving in the South Carolina House of Representatives. He represents District 52, having assumed office on November 11, 2024. His current term is set to end on November 9, 2026.

Born in Los Angeles, California, Jermaine Johnson has a compelling life story that reflects resilience and determination. Growing up during challenging times, he witnessed firsthand the effects of poverty, gun violence, and homelessness. Despite these obstacles, he pursued his education and athletic talents, earning a bachelor’s degree in communication from the College of Charleston in 2008. He later achieved a master’s degree in project management from Strayer University in 2014 and a doctorate in business administration from Northcentral University in 2018.

Jermaine’s career has been diverse and impactful. He is the founder of Dream Team Consulting Firm and has worked as a consultant, business investor, and global career development facilitator. His dedication to community service is evident in his involvement with the Richland County Recreation Commission and the Richland County Recreation Foundation. He has also been affiliated with organizations such as the NAACP, Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, and Capital City Lodge #47.

In addition to his professional achievements, Jermaine is a devoted family man. He resides in Columbia, South Carolina, with his wife, Dr. Evan Patrice Johnson, and their children. His commitment to public service and his community continues to drive his work in the South Carolina House of Representatives, where he advocates for accountability, integrity, and commitment in representing the residents of District 52.
