Early Years and Military Service: Joe White served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. On February 23, 1968, he married his childhood sweetheart, Linda Friel. After an honorable discharge, he pursued higher education, earning his B.S. degree from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.
Business Ventures: Following college, White worked for Sears before transitioning to become a sales representative for Beecham Laboratories, a pharmaceutical company.
