Representative Roger Nutt
Roger Allen Nutt, 57, is a lifelong resident of Spartanburg County, South Carolina. He currently serves as the House Representative in District 34 (Spartanburg) and previously held the position of Representative for County Council District 6 from 2011 to 2020. Married to Tracy Fennel Nutt, they have three adult children and three delightful grandchildren.
Roger’s roots run deep—he lives in the same neighborhood where he grew up back in 1972. Beyond his political roles, he wears multiple hats: a song leader, a teacher, and a preacher at a new church he co-planted off of Sharon Road. Professionally, Roger is a licensed Professional Engineer in both South Carolina and Georgia. He actively participates in the South Carolina House of Representatives, serving on the Labor, Commerce & Industry Committee.
During his tenure on County Council, Roger chaired various committees, including the Spartanburg County Public Works-Building and Grounds Committee, the Land Use Committee, and the Economic Development Committee. Currently, he continues to contribute to his community by serving on several boards and committees, including the Spartanburg Area Transportation Study (SPATS) and the Animal Allies Board of Directors.
