Representative Scott Montgomery

Scott Montgomery is a Republican member of the South Carolina House of Representatives. He represents District 32 and assumed office on November 11, 2024. His current term is set to end on November 9, 2026.

Born and raised in Spartanburg, South Carolina, Scott Montgomery has deep roots in his community. He earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Hampton-Sydney College, which laid the foundation for his career as a businessman and community leader. Over the years, he has built a reputation as a successful entrepreneur, founding and managing several businesses, including RePower South, a recycling company with facilities across the Southeast, and Core Care Medical, LLC. Additionally, he owns multiple Take 5 Oil Change franchises in Georgia, North Carolina, and Tennessee.

Montgomery’s commitment to public service is evident in his extensive involvement in local organizations. He has served as the Treasurer for Apella Health, the management company for Spartanburg Regional Hospital System, and as Chairman of the Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System Foundation Board of Trustees. His dedication to improving the lives of those in his community extends beyond his professional endeavors, as he is also an active volunteer with the Boy Scouts and a member of the Episcopal Church of the Advent.

In the South Carolina House of Representatives, Montgomery serves on key committees, including the House Legislative Oversight and Medical, Military, Public and Municipal Affairs committees. His legislative priorities focus on fostering economic growth, improving healthcare access, and enhancing education in his district. As a first-term representative, he is committed to bringing positive change to Spartanburg County and ensuring that the voices of his constituents are heard.

Outside of his professional and political life, Scott Montgomery is a devoted husband and father. He and his wife, Laura, are raising their three children in Spartanburg, where they enjoy spending quality time together. Montgomery is an outdoor enthusiast who loves mountain biking, hunting, and fishing, activities that allow him to connect with the natural beauty of his home state.
