Senator Taylor Rehmet

Rehmet is a veteran, machinist, and union leader, bringing his working-class background to the Texas Senate. Rehmet’s public service is grounded in the belief that government should be responsive, practical, and accountable to the people it serves. Born and raised in Garland, Texas, Rehmet grew up in a household defined by hard work and dedication. After his military service, Rehmet returned home and began his career as an aerospace machinist, applying the technical skills he developed in uniform. Outside the Capitol, Rehmet is known for keeping life simple and spending time with family and neighbors, staying connected to the community that raised him, and taking walks with his French Bulldog, Samson.
