Representative Brady Brammer
Brady Brammer is an American politician and a member of the Republican Party. He is currently representing the 54th district in the Utah House of Representatives.
Brammer’s political career began in 2018 when he ran for election to the District 27 seat in the Utah House of Representatives, which was being vacated by fellow Republican Mike Kennedy. He defeated Jared Carman in the Republican primary with 57.5% of the vote, and went on to win the general election with 75.6% of the vote. He ran for re-election in 2020.
In February 2020, Brammer proposed a bill to require warning labels for pornography. A version of the bill became law in April. As of October 2020, Brammer sits on the following committees: Infrastructure and General Government Appropriations Subcommittee, House Business and Labor Committee, House Judiciary Committee, Government Operations Interim Committee, and Judiciary Interim Committee.
Brammer earned a B.A. in American studies in 2004, a J.D. in 2007, and an M.P.A. in 2008, all from Brigham Young University. His career experience includes working as an attorney at several law firms and as a shareholder of Spaulding Law. He was previously a member of the Highland Planning Commission.
In the 2022 general election for Utah House of Representatives District 54, incumbent Brady Brammer defeated Nikki Pino and Andrew Matishen. Brammer received 80.6% of the votes.
