Doug Welton is an American politician from Utah. He currently serves as the representative for Utah House District 65. He is a member of the Republican Party.

Doug Welton assumed office on January 1, 2021. He was preceded by Marc Roberts and represented the 67th district from 2021 to 2023. Since 2023, he has been representing the 65th district.

In terms of education, Doug Welton is quite accomplished. He earned a Bachelor’s degree from Utah Valley State College and later pursued a Master’s degree from Southern Utah University.

Doug Welton resides in Payson, Utah with his spouse, Kerri Welton.

In his role as a representative, Doug Welton serves on several committees. These include the Higher Education Appropriations Subcommittee, House Government Operations Committee, and the House Public Utilities, Energy, and Technology Committee.

Doug Welton has also sponsored several pieces of legislation in 2022. These include the Open and Public Meetings Act Modifications, Tax Sale Notice Amendments, Municipal Alternate Voting Methods Amendments, Medical Assistant Amendments, Property Tax Exemption Amendments, Municipal Office Amendments, Education Innovation Program, and Recycling Transparency Amendments.
