About Representative Jon Hawkins
Jon Hawkins is a member of the Utah House of Representatives, representing District 55. He assumed office on January 1, 2023, and his current term ends on January 1, 2025. Hawkins ran for re-election to the Utah House of Representatives to represent District 55 and won in the general election on November 8, 2022.
Jon Hawkins was born in Utah and currently resides in Pleasant Grove. He graduated from Mountain View High School in 1997. He furthered his education at Brigham Young University, where he earned a B.A. in communications in 2002 and an M.B.A. in 2010.
His career experience includes working as a sales engineer and sales engineer manager at Workfront. He also served as the director of partner solutions and a solutions consulting manager for Workfront. Hawkins served on the Pleasant Grove Planning Commission from 2016 to 2018.
During the 2022 General Session, he served on the Higher Education Appropriations Subcommittee, House Business and Labor Committee, House Ethics Committee, House Judiciary Committee, and Occupational and Professional Licensure Review Committee. He has also served as a Boy Scout leader and youth sports coach.
In January 2021, Hawkins was hospitalized with COVID-19. He was intubated and underwent tracheotomy. He was released from the hospital in March.
In the 2022 elections, Jon Hawkins won the election for Utah House of Representatives District 55 on November 8, 2022, with 100.0% of the votes, totaling 12,644 votes.
