Senator Keven Stratton

Keven Stratton is a Republican member of the Utah State Senate, representing District 24. He assumed office on January 1, 2025, and his current term is set to end on January 1, 2029.

Keven Stratton has had a distinguished career in public service and law. Before joining the Utah State Senate, he served in the Utah House of Representatives, representing District 58 and later District 48. His tenure in the House began in April 2012, when he was appointed to fill a vacancy, and continued until December 2024. During his time in the House, Stratton was actively involved in various committees, including the Natural Resources, Agriculture, and Environment Committee, where he served as Chair, and the Public Utilities, Energy, and Technology Committee.

Born and raised in Utah, Stratton has deep roots in the community. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in public relations and international development from Brigham Young University in 2009. Later, he pursued advanced degrees at Texas Tech University, obtaining a Master of Science in personal financial planning and a Juris Doctor from Texas Tech University School of Law in 2017. His professional background includes roles as an attorney, mediator, director of human resources, and chief financial officer. Stratton has also been involved in land development and was the owner and operator of Cascade Golf Course before its sale and redevelopment in 2013.

Beyond his professional achievements, Stratton has been an active volunteer and community leader. He has served as chair and board member for organizations such as the Provo/Orem Chamber of Commerce, Healthy Utah Valley, and Kids on the Move. Additionally, he has contributed as an advisory board member for the Utah Consumer Protection Agency and as a member of the business advisory council for the National Republican Congressional Committee.

Keven Stratton’s legislative priorities have often focused on issues such as public lands, water conservation, and education. He has sponsored and supported numerous bills aimed at improving the lives of Utah residents, including legislation on resource management planning, public education curriculum amendments, and water-efficient landscaping requirements. His commitment to public service and his dedication to the state of Utah have earned him recognition as a thoughtful and effective legislator. Stratton continues to work tirelessly to represent the interests of his constituents in District 24 and to contribute to the betterment of the state as a whole.
