Senator Brian Collamore, a dedicated public servant, represents the Rutland District in the Vermont Senate. Born in November 1950 in Detroit, Michigan, Brian’s early education took place in Michigan. He later attended Jesuit Xavier School in Concord, Massachusetts, for his high school education. In 1968, he moved to Vermont to attend Middlebury College, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology/Anthropology in 1972.

Brian’s professional career spans over four decades in the broadcasting industry. He has worked in both Middlebury and Rutland, accumulating over 45 years of experience on the radio and more than 35 years in sales. Currently, he serves as the General Sales Manager for five radio stations under Catamount Radio. His contributions to the field have been recognized with the Distinguished Service Award from the Vermont Association of Broadcasters, and he has been inducted into the Association’s Hall of Fame.

In addition to his broadcasting career, Brian has been an active ice hockey official since 1978. He referees youth, high school, and college hockey games and holds the position of Vermont Supervisor of Officials for USA Hockey. He is also the President of the Vermont Chapter of the National Ice Hockey Association of America and a board member of the Vermont State Amateur Hockey Association. His dedication to the sport has earned him a place in the Vermont Principals’ Association’s Hall of Fame.

Brian’s commitment to his community extends beyond his professional and athletic endeavors. He has served on the Marketing Committee of the Rutland County United Way and has been involved in various legislative committees. As a member of the Vermont Senate, he has been a staunch advocate for fiscal prudence, economic growth, tax relief, and support for the truly needy.
