Peter Conlon is a member of the Vermont House of Representatives, representing Addison-2 District. He assumed office in 2017. His current term ends on January 8, 2025.

Peter Conlon was raised in Montpelier, Vermont, where he graduated from Montpelier High School. He continued his education at Dartmouth College. After completing his studies, Peter and his wife, Mary, served as Peace Corps volunteers in Paraguay. In 1990, they settled in Cornwall, Vermont, where they raised their three sons.

Peter’s professional journey began as a reporter and news editor for the Addison Independent newspaper in Middlebury, a role he held until 2004. Following this, he worked for nearly a decade as a dairy labor specialist throughout New England. In 2014, he founded Vermont Move Management and Home Inventory, a business he continues to operate.

In addition to his professional endeavors, Peter is deeply involved in his community. He is a member of the Cornwall Volunteer Fire Department and serves on the board of the newly unified Addison Central School District. He has also held leadership roles as the former president of Friends of Cornwall School and Champlain Valley Little League.

Peter was elected to the Vermont House of Representatives in 2016, representing the Addison-2 district, which includes Cornwall, Goshen, Hancock, Leicester, Ripton, and Salisbury. He is currently the ranking member of the House Committee on Education and also serves on the Canvassing Committee.
