Representative Karen Robins Carnegie

Karen Robins Carnegie is a member of the Democratic Party and currently serves in the Virginia House of Delegates, representing District 89. She assumed office on January 14, 2026, and her current term will conclude on January 12, 2028.

Karen Robins Carnegie, also known as Kacey Carnegie, was born and raised in Chesapeake, Virginia. She graduated from Deep Creek High School before pursuing higher education at Longwood University, where she earned her degree in accounting and sociology summa cum laude in 2004. She continued her academic journey at the University of Richmond School of Law (formerly T.C. Williams School of Law), graduating cum laude in 2008. Her professional career has been defined by her work as an attorney, where she gained extensive experience in legal practice and advocacy, building a reputation for her dedication to justice and fairness.

Carnegie entered politics with a strong commitment to public service and community representation. In the November 4, 2025 general election, she ran as a Democrat for District 89 and defeated Republican incumbent N. Baxter Ennis.
