Representative Dan Griffey Contact information

Dan Griffey represents the 35th Legislative District, which includes Mason County and parts of Kitsap and Thurston counties. Dan is passionate about working for the people of the 35th District and the state of Washington by developing right and real solutions to improve their lives.

In addition to serving as a member of the leadership team as the House Republican Whip, Dan serves on three House committees, including the Community Safety, Justice and Reentry Committee where he is the assistant ranking member and a fierce advocate for sexual assault and domestic violence survivors, and improving public safety in Washington state by bolstering our law enforcement and finding the right balance between compassion and holding criminals accountable. He also serves on the Local Government and Transportation committees.

A lifelong resident of Allyn, Dan began his career of service as a volunteer firefighter at the age of 16 and, at the time, was one of the youngest EMTs in Washington state. He was hired as a professional firefighter for Central Mason in 1992, where he served for 30 years before retiring in June 2022.

In addition to his career and his service as a state legislator, Dan remains active in the community, volunteering for various causes and organizations.

Dan and his wife, Dinah, have four children and five grandchildren.
