Representative Greg Nance

Greg Nance is an American entrepreneur, mountaineer, ultramarathon runner, and politician. Born on September 29, 1988, in Redmond, WA, he has made significant contributions in various fields.

Entrepreneurship and Education :

• Nance co-founded Moneythink, an organization that empowers young people through financial education. As the Board Chairman, he has been instrumental in promoting financial literacy among students.
• In 2012, he founded Dyad Mentorship (formerly ChaseFuture), a mentorship platform that guides students through the university admissions process. His commitment to education and mentorship has been recognized by various awards and honors.

Athletic Achievements :

• Nance is an accomplished long-distance runner, holding 44 Fastest Known Time (FKT) records. Notably, he set the speed record for the 86-mile Mount Rainier Sea to Summit run, covering the distance from Puget Sound to the 14,411-ft. summit.
• In 2016, he was selected as the Seattle Seahawks “12 Ambassador” and became the face of a Delta Air Lines’ Pacific Northwest marketing campaign.

Education and Early Career :

• Growing up on Bainbridge Island, Washington, Nance attended Bainbridge High School, where he excelled in various sports.
• He completed his first marathon in college, qualifying for the 2011 and 2012 Boston Marathon.
• Instead of attending the United States Military Academy at West Point, he chose to study at the University of Chicago, where he was elected Student Government President and earned the prestigious Harry S. Truman Scholarship.
• Nance continued his education at the University of Cambridge, boxing welterweight for the varsity team while pursuing a master’s degree in management.

Political Journey :

• In September 2023, Nance was appointed by the Kitsap County Board of Supervisors to represent the 23rd district in the Washington House of Representatives, succeeding Drew Hansen.
• His commitment to public service and business leadership has been recognized by the Jefferson Awards for Public Service.
