Representative Josh Penner

Josh Penner serves as a Republican Representative for District 31 in the Washington state legislature.

Penner brings a wealth of executive leadership and local government experience to his role as your state representative. Penner is committed to ensuring that all children have the opportunity to thrive with dignity and believes strongly in the value of every life. A lifelong resident of the 31st District, Josh was raised in Bonney Lake, graduated from Sumner High School, and continues to live and serve in the community he calls home. Marine Corps Veteran, Josh answered the call to service during the Global War on Terrorism, serving as a radio operator in Iraq. Following his military service, he became an active advocate for Veterans, co-chairing the King County Veterans Consortium, co-founding the Pacific Northwest Veterans Coalition, and working to support victims of military sexual trauma.
