Senator Keith Goehner

Keith Goehner is a Republican member of the Washington State Senate, representing District 12. He assumed office on January 13, 2025, and his current term is set to end on January 8, 2029.

Keith Goehner has had a diverse and impactful career, blending his roles as an educator, farmer, and public servant. Before joining the Washington State Senate, he served in the Washington House of Representatives, representing District 12 from January 14, 2019, to January 13, 2025. His journey in public service began even earlier, as he served four terms as a Chelan County Commissioner from 2003 to 2019. During this time, he gained valuable experience in local governance and community development.

Goehner’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from Seattle Pacific University. He also attended Wenatchee Valley College. His career as an educator saw him working as an elementary school teacher, where he contributed to shaping young minds. Alongside his teaching career, Goehner is a third-generation orchardist and a pear grower in the Dryden area of Washington. He serves as the President of K&L Orchards Inc., reflecting his deep roots in agriculture and his commitment to the farming community.

Throughout his career, Goehner has been actively involved in various boards and committees, including the Winter Pear Committee, the Blue Star Growers Board, and the Peshastin-Dryden School Board. His dedication to community service extends to volunteering with organizations such as the Leavenworth Church of the Nazarene Board, Rotary, the Confluence Hospital Foundation Board of Trustees, and the Cascade Education Foundation. He has also coached youth basketball and baseball, demonstrating his passion for mentoring and supporting young people.

Keith Goehner’s personal life is equally grounded in community and family values. He resides in Dryden, Washington, with his wife, Lisa Goehner. Together, they have three children. His life and career reflect a commitment to serving his constituents, supporting local agriculture, and fostering community development.
