Mia Su-Ling Gregerson (born December 19, 1972) is an American politician serving as the Speaker pro tempore of the Washington House of Representatives since 2021. She represents the 33rd Legislative District, which includes SeaTac, Normandy Park, Des Moines, and parts of Kent, Burien, Renton, and unincorporated King County.

Background and Accomplishments :

  • Mia has a long record of advocating for transportation in SeaTac. She fought for light rail infrastructure, safe and complete streets, and transit-oriented development.
  • As Mayor of the SeaTac City Council from 2008 to 2015, Mia was part of the group that led the charge in passing the $15 minimum wage initiative in Seattle in 2014—the first of its kind in the nation.
  • Her legislative accomplishments include serving as Chair of the House Members of Color Caucus and Vice Chair of the House Appropriations Committee.
  • Mia has been instrumental in expanding voting rights, ensuring housing for residents, establishing Washington’s first Office of Equity, championing statewide digital equity, and working on legislation to help the food insecure.
  • She prides herself in representing one of the most racially diverse districts in the state.
