Natasha pursued her passion for sociology at the University of Washington, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in 2003. She later attended Southwestern Law School in Los Angeles, graduating with a law degree in 2006.

Natasha’s career began in the legal field, where she worked as an attorney specializing in family law and civil rights. After gaining valuable experience in California, she returned to Spokane in 2015 and established her own law practice, Natasha L. Hill PS. Her dedication to justice and equality extended beyond her legal work; she became an adjunct professor at Gonzaga University, coaching moot court teams focused on civil and human rights.

In addition to her professional achievements, Natasha Hill is a committed community activist. She played a prominent role in Spokane’s Black Lives Matter protests in 2020 and has worked with organizations like the Spokane Community Against Racism (SCAR). Her advocacy efforts have included protecting free speech and the right to peaceful protest. Natasha has also served as the interim editor for The Black Lens, a newspaper dedicated to addressing issues affecting Spokane’s Black community.

Natasha’s political journey began with her candidacy for Washington’s 5th Congressional District in 2022, where she ran as the Democratic nominee. Although she did not win, her campaign highlighted her commitment to social justice and community development. In 2024, she announced her candidacy for the Washington House of Representatives and successfully won the election, succeeding Marcus Riccelli.
