Representative Zach Hall

Zach Hall is a member of the Democratic Party and currently serves in the Washington House of Representatives, representing District 5-Position 1. He assumed office on June 3, 2025, and his current term will conclude on January 11, 2027.

Zach Hall was born in Issaquah, Washington, in 1994 or 1995, and has remained a lifelong resident of the area. He attended Issaquah public schools and graduated from Issaquah High School in 2013. Hall pursued higher education at the University of Washington, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology in 2017. He later completed a Master of Public Administration in 2024, further strengthening his expertise in governance and public policy. His academic background reflects a strong commitment to science, public service, and leadership, which has shaped his career trajectory.

Before his appointment to the Washington House of Representatives, Hall worked as a legislative assistant, gaining valuable experience in the legislative process and public administration. His professional career provided him with insight into the complexities of policymaking and the importance of responsive governance. On June 3, 2025, Hall was appointed by the King County Council to fill the vacancy left by Victoria Hunt, who had been appointed to the Washington State Senate following the death of Senator Bill Ramos. This appointment marked the beginning of Hall’s tenure as a state legislator, representing the communities of District 5, which include Issaquah, North Bend, Snoqualmie, and other parts of eastern King County.

He serves as vice chair of the Environment & Energy Committee and is also a member of the Local Government and Transportation Committees.
