Representative Chris Toney

Christopher Toney was born on February 13th, 1988. His journey has been shaped by education, community service, and a commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of West Virginians.

He attended Liberty High School and later pursued higher education:

He earned an Associate of Arts degree from New River Community and Technical College. Subsequently, he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from Concord University. Occupation: School Bus Operator Delegate Toney’s work extends beyond the political arena. He serves as a school bus operator, ensuring the safe transportation of students—an essential role that reflects his dedication to the community.

Family and Faith:

Delegate Toney is the son of Gregory Toney and Emma Shrewsbury. His roots run deep, as he is also the grandson of Rudy and Judy Toney, as well as the late C. Edward and Virginia Dunbar. His commitment to faith is evident through his affiliation with Spruce Tabernacle Church. Legislative Involvement:

As a legislator, Delegate Toney actively participates in committees: He serves as Vice Chair for several committees, including Education, Energy and Manufacturing Finance, Jails and Prisons, and Senior, Children, and Family Issues.
