Eric’s educational journey led him to Shepherd College, where he earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree. Later, he pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Frostburg State University, enhancing his knowledge and skills.

In his personal life, Eric is married to Maxine M. Householder. Together, they form a supportive partnership. Eric also plays a significant role in the lives of his stepchildren—Jamie D. Collyer, Charles J. Higgins, and Kayla E. Higgins—and dotes on his grandchildren—Bailey A. Crouser, Gabriel A. Delgado, Haylee E. Higgins, and Israel Delgado.

Professionally, Eric is a small business owner, demonstrating his entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to economic growth. Additionally, he served as Vice Chair of the Committee on Health and Human Resources during the 82nd Legislature.
