Heather Tully, born on February 6, 1980, is an American politician affiliated with the Republican Party. She serves as a member of the West Virginia House of Delegates, representing District 49, and assumed office on December 1, 2022.

Heather Tully was born on February 6th, 1980, and her journey has been nothing short of remarkable. As a dedicated nurse and passionate advocate, she has made significant contributions to her community and the state of West Virginia.

Heather’s educational path reflects her commitment to lifelong learning:

She holds a Master’s of Science in Nursing/Family Nurse Practitioner Program from West Virginia University (2018). Her Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing was earned at the University of Charleston (2002). Additionally, she completed a Certificate in Applied Technical Studies/Medical Billing and Coding at New River Community and Technical College (2016). Her roots may be in Olean, NY, but her heart now resides in West Virginia. Heather’s professional affiliations include the American Nurses Association, American Association of Critical Care Nurses, West Virginia Nurses’ Association, Sigma Theta Tau, and Phi Theta Kappa, among others. She is also a founding member and chair of ABC for BOE PAC and a proud member of the Grand Order of the Royal Leprechauns.

Heather’s commitment to public service has not gone unnoticed. She has received several awards and recognitions, including the WVNA Politically Active Nurse of the Year 2020, the American Conservative Union Foundation Award for Conservative Achievement 2021, and the U.S. Term Limits Champion of Term Limits Award 2021.

In the West Virginia House of Delegates, Heather serves as the Vice Chair of the Health and Human Resources Committee on Fire Departments and Emergency Medical Services Education. She is also actively involved in interim committees related to health education, health and human resources accountability, and insurance.

Delegate Tully has been at the forefront of several important bills in 2024, including those related to electronic tracking devices, nursing home standards, anti-hazing policies, and safe harbor peer review for nurses. Her dedication to her constituents continues to shape positive change in West Virginia.
