Representative Jeff Eldridge

Jeff Eldridge is a Republican member of the West Virginia House of Delegates, representing District 30. He assumed office on December 1, 2024, and his current term is set to end on December 1, 2026.

Born on January 13, 1967, in Xenia, Ohio, Eldridge pursued his education at Marshall University, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in education and counseling, followed by a Master’s degree in counseling and a certification in social work. His academic background laid the foundation for his career in public service and advocacy.

Eldridge has had a long and varied political career. He previously served in the West Virginia House of Delegates, representing District 19 from 2005 to 2011, and District 22 from 2013 to 2021. Over the years, he has been involved in numerous legislative initiatives and has served on various committees, including those focused on energy, natural resources, and senior citizen issues. His work often reflects his commitment to addressing the needs of his constituents and improving the quality of life in his district.

In 2018, Eldridge made a significant political shift by leaving the Democratic Party to become an independent. Later, he joined the Republican Party and successfully ran for his current position in 2024. This transition highlights his evolving political philosophy and his dedication to representing the interests of his community.

Throughout his career, Eldridge has been known for his focus on education, infrastructure, and social welfare. Outside of his political life, he is an active member of his community in Alum Creek, West Virginia, where he resides with his family.
