Early Life and Education: Gary Martin ‘Marty’ Gearheart was born on September 15, 1961, in Zebulon, North Carolina. His journey began in the heart of the Appalachian region, where he would later leave an indelible mark on West Virginia politics and community life. After graduating from Bluefield High School in 1979, Gearheart pursued higher education at Concord University, earning a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in education in 1983.

He is the Managing Member of Gearheart Enterprises, LLC—a testament to his entrepreneurial spirit and business acumen.
