Education and Early Career: Tom’s educational path led him to Marshall University, where he earned a degree in Occupational Development. Additionally, he attended Glenville State College and received training at the United States Mine Health and Safety Academy. Armed with this knowledge, he embarked on a career that would impact both local communities and the mining industry.

Occupational Roles: Before entering politics, Tom Clark held significant roles:

U.S. Department of Labor: He served as Staff Assistant to the District Manager for West Virginia’s Mine Safety and Health Administration (District 4). His work contributed to ensuring safety in the mining sector, a critical industry in the state. Entrepreneurship: Tom’s entrepreneurial spirit led him to own and manage two local newspapers and an Exxon distributorship in Webster County for over 30 years. His dedication to local businesses and community development shines through in this endeavor. Public Service and Political Journey:

President of the Webster County Commission: Tom demonstrated leadership and community engagement in this role. Appointment to the West Virginia House of Delegates: On January 12, 2024, Governor Jim Justice appointed Tom Clark to represent District 48. He stepped into this position to replace Caleb Hanna. Since assuming office, Delegate Clark has been an advocate for his constituents, working tirelessly to address their needs and concerns. Family and Faith: Tom’s personal life is equally important. He is married to Teresa Clark, and together they have two daughters. As a Baptist, faith plays a central role in his life. Additionally, he is a proud grandfather to seven grandchildren.
