Representative Tom Fast
Tom Fast, an attorney by profession, was born on May 15, 1966, in Fairmont, West Virginia. His upbringing in rural West Virginia instilled in him practicality, a strong work ethic, and a deep appreciation for faith and family.
After completing his Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Political Science at Fairmont State University, Tom pursued a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from Regent University in 1993. Armed with legal expertise, he embarked on a journey of public service.
Tom Fast was elected to the West Virginia House of Delegates in 2014, representing the 51st district. During his tenure, he held the position of Assistant Majority Whip during the 84th Legislature. His commitment to legislative work extended to chairing the Committee on Industry and Labor in both the 83rd and 84th Legislatures.
Beyond his legislative service, Tom has been an active member of the Fayette County Republican Executive Committee. From 1998 to 2006, he chaired the committee, contributing to the party’s local organization and outreach efforts.
Tom’s personal life reflects his values. A devoted Christian, he is married to Lisa Fast, and they have a daughter named Madison.
