Representative Cindi Duchow

Cindi Duchow is a Republican member of the Wisconsin State Assembly, representing the 97th Assembly District. She assumed office on January 6, 2025, and her current term is set to end on January 4, 2027.

Born on August 21, 1959, in Waukesha, Wisconsin, Cindi Duchow has built a career that spans politics, retail management, and community service. She graduated from Catholic Memorial High School in 1977 and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 1981. Her professional background includes working as a manager and fashion specialist for national retailers, as well as contributing to her family’s boating business on Lake Michigan.

Duchow’s political journey began at the local level, where she served on the Town of Delafield Board of Supervisors from 2012 to 2016. Her dedication to public service and her community paved the way for her election to the Wisconsin State Assembly in a special election in September 2015. Initially representing the 99th Assembly District, she served there until 2025 before transitioning to represent the 97th District.

Throughout her tenure, Duchow has been actively involved in various legislative committees. She has chaired the Financial Institutions Committee and served on committees such as Criminal Justice and Public Safety, Education, and Insurance. Her leadership skills were recognized by her colleagues when she was elected as the Majority Caucus Vice-Chair in November 2020.

Beyond her legislative duties, Duchow is deeply rooted in her community. She is a member of St. Anthony’s Church and has been involved with organizations like the Republican Party of Waukesha County, the Volunteer Service Club of Pewaukee Lake, and the Pewaukee Yacht Club. She has also served on the board of the Waukesha Youth Hockey Association and is a member of the Kettle Moraine Curling Club.
