Representative Nik Rettinger
Nikolaus Peter “Nik” Rettinger III (born August 1990) is an American political staffer and Republican politician. He hails from Waukesha County, Wisconsin, and has been actively involved in both local and state politics.
Education: Nik graduated from Waukesha South High School in 2008. He then attended the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, where he earned his associate’s degree in 2011 and later his bachelor’s degree in history and political science in 2014.
Political Career: Nik’s political journey began early—he started a political club in high school to engage students in local campaigns. He interned with the Republican Party of Wisconsin during his first semester at the University of Wisconsin–Waukesha. Later, he served as a legislative assistant for Representative David Craig and as a research assistant for Representative Jesse Kremer. In 2019, he became the chief of staff for State Senator André Jacque.
Party Leadership: Nik is actively involved in party organizations. He holds positions such as chairman of the Republican Party of Wisconsin’s 1st congressional district and state chairman of the Wisconsin Young Republicans. Additionally, he co-founded Campaign Tutors, a company providing campaign tutorials for aspiring political candidates.
Personal Details: Nik is an Eagle Scout, an avid outdoorsman, and an NRA member. He resides in Mukwonago, Wisconsin, and is married to Sidney Steinmann.
