Representative Paul Melotik

Paul Melotik is a Republican member of the Wisconsin State Assembly, representing the 22nd Assembly District. He assumed office on January 6, 2025, and his current term is set to end on January 4, 2027.

Born on February 27, 1957, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Paul Melotik has had a diverse career as an accountant, businessman, and public servant. He graduated from Nathan Hale High School in West Allis, Wisconsin, in 1975 and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and business management from Carroll University in 1979. His professional journey began as an accountant with Wisconsin Electric, but he later ventured into the hospitality industry, co-owning and operating Flannery’s Bar and Restaurant in Milwaukee and at the Fire Ridge Golf Course in Grafton.

Melotik’s political career began with his election to the Ozaukee County Board of Supervisors in 2012, where he represented the 10th district. He later served on the Grafton Town Board, further solidifying his commitment to public service. In 2023, he successfully ran for the Wisconsin State Assembly, initially representing the 24th Assembly District in a special election. Following redistricting, he transitioned to represent the 22nd Assembly District.

Throughout his tenure, Melotik has been an advocate for economic growth, workforce development, and community engagement. His efforts have been recognized with awards such as the Associated Builders and Contractors Building Wisconsin Award and the Working for Wisconsin Award from the Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce. These accolades highlight his dedication to fostering a thriving business climate and addressing the needs of his constituents.

Paul Melotik resides in Grafton, Wisconsin, with his wife, Wendy. Together, they have four children. His life and career reflect a deep commitment to serving his community and contributing to the betterment of Wisconsin.
