Senator Robert Cowles

Born in Green Bay, Wisconsin, on July 31, 1950, Robert Cowles has made significant contributions both as a legislator and a small business owner. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1975 and continued his graduate studies at the same institution.

Before entering the State Legislature, Cowles gained valuable experience in the private sector. He served as the director of an alternative energy division for a communications construction company based in Green Bay. His commitment to balancing environmental protection with business needs has been a hallmark of his career. As Chair of the Senate Committee on Natural Resources and Energy, Cowles has guided sound policy that benefits both the environment and the state’s economy.

Additionally, Senator Cowles is passionate about government accountability and transparency.
