Travis Tranel, born September 12, 1985, is an American politician affiliated with the Republican Party. He has served as a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly, representing District 49, since January 3, 2011.

Representative Travis Tranel (R-Cuba City) was elected to the Wisconsin State Assembly in 2010, and he is currently serving his seventh term. Born on September 12, 1985, he is a lifelong resident of Grant County. Travis hails from a 6th generation dairy farming family and grew up on their dairy farm near Cuba City. His upbringing instilled in him the values of hard work, family, and fiscal responsibility.

Travis is not only a legislator but also an entrepreneur. In grade school, he started his first business, T&T Labradors, which earned him recognition as the Youth Entrepreneur of the Year by the Entrepreneur Institute in Milwaukee. During high school, he became a certified WIAA basketball referee, officiating over 500 local middle school and high school basketball games.

Today, Travis continues his passion for farming through Tranel Family Farms, a dairy farm that milks around 550 cows. He also co-owns Fleege Tranel LLC, a custom square baling business serving farmers in southwest Wisconsin and Northwest Illinois. Beyond his agricultural pursuits, Travis is an active member of various community groups and organizations, including St. Joseph’s Parish in Sinsinawa.

  • Holds a B.A. in economics and finance from Loras College (Dubuque, Iowa), class of 2007

Family: Travis resides on his family dairy farm in rural Cuba City with his wife Stephanie and their five children: Quinn, Meadow, Ossie, Evelyn, and Violet.
