Representative Tyler August
Representative Tyler August (R-Lake Geneva) was first elected to the Wisconsin State Assembly in 2010, and he is currently serving his seventh term. Born on January 26, 1983, Tyler is a lifelong resident of Walworth County. After graduating from Big Foot High School in 2001, he attended both UW-Eau Claire and UW-Madison.
Tyler has an extensive history of leadership within the Republican Party, at both local and state levels. He previously served on the Executive Board of the Republican Party of Wisconsin and held chairmanship positions in both the Republican Party of Congressman Paul Ryan’s 1st Congressional District and the Republican Party of Walworth County. Additionally, he is a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association.
Currently, Tyler serves as the Assembly Majority Leader, having previously held the position of Assembly Speaker Pro Tempore. In this legislative session, he is actively involved in several committees, including the Committee on Rules (where he serves as Chair), the Committee on Assembly Organization (where he is Vice-Chair), and the Joint Committee on Employment Relations.
