Representative Tom Kelly

Thomas Kelly is a Republican member of the Wyoming House of Representatives, representing District 30. He assumed office on January 6, 2025, and his current term is set to end on January 4, 2027.

Born in Elk Grove Village, Illinois, Thomas Kelly has a rich academic background and a career rooted in education. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Northern Illinois University in 1992, followed by a graduate degree from Roosevelt University in 1999. He further pursued his academic journey with another graduate degree from Loyola University Chicago in 2003 and ultimately achieved a Ph.D. from the University of Illinois Chicago in 2010. His professional experience includes serving as a university department chair, a role that highlights his dedication to fostering education and leadership.

Kelly’s journey into politics began with his successful campaign for the Wyoming House of Representatives in 2024. He ran for the seat in District 30, previously held by Mark Jennings, who endorsed Kelly as his successor. Despite being a first-time politician, Kelly’s campaign resonated with voters, emphasizing his commitment to representing the community’s values and interests. Outside of his political and professional life, Kelly is known for his strong family values. He is married to Gina Kelly, and together they have six children and two grandchildren.
