Representative Susan W. Brooks

Susan W. Brooks (born August 25, 1960) is a former American politician who represented Indiana’s 5th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives. A member of the Republican Party, she served four terms in Congress, holding office from January 3, 2013, to January 3, 2021. During this period, she was part of Indiana’s congressional delegation and participated in national legislative affairs as a federal lawmaker.

Brooks’s tenure in the House spanned the 113th through the 116th Congresses, reflecting sustained support from voters in Indiana’s 5th District over eight years. As a representative, she served in a Republican role at the federal level, contributing to the party’s agenda and the legislative process. After completing her fourth term, she left office in 2021, becoming a historical member of Congress from Indiana.
