Representative William D. Delahunt

William D. Delahunt (born July 18, 1941) is a former American politician who represented Massachusetts in the United States House of Representatives. A member of the Democratic Party, he served as the U.S. Representative for Massachusetts’s 10th Congressional District. His tenure in Congress began on January 7, 1997, and concluded on January 3, 2011, spanning seven terms in the House.

During his time in office, Delahunt served as a Democratic representative from Massachusetts, focusing his congressional career on the interests of the 10th District. Over the course of his seven terms, he participated in the legislative work of the House of Representatives during a period that covered the late 1990s and the first decade of the 21st century. After leaving office in 2011, he became a historical member of Congress, recognized for his fourteen years of service representing Massachusetts at the federal level.
