Leah Taylor Roy MP (née Taylor; born 1960/1961) is a Canadian politician and member of the Liberal Party. She gained recognition after winning the 2021 Canadian federal election in the Aurora—Oak Ridges—Richmond Hill riding, defeating the incumbent, Leona Alleslev.

Leah Taylor Roy was born in Newmarket, Ontario, and hails from a family with a strong political background. Her father, Tom Taylor, served as a Town Councillor, Regional Councillor, and held the position of Mayor of Newmarket for three terms (1997-2006). Her brother, John Taylor, has also been actively involved in politics, serving as a Regional Councillor for York County and presently serving his second term as the mayor of Newmarket.

Leah Taylor Roy’s academic journey began at the University of Toronto, where she pursued a degree in Commerce. Building upon her undergraduate studies, she furthered her education at Harvard University, obtaining a Master’s degree in Public Policy with a specialization in finance and international development. After completing her studies, she embarked on a career at the World Bank, contributing her expertise to global financial matters. Subsequently, she joined the prestigious management consulting firm McKinsey and Company in their Toronto office.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Leah Taylor Roy’s personal life has been enriched by her marriage to Peter Roy. Together, they have lovingly raised six children and now cherish the joys of being grandparents to two granddaughters. Presently, Leah and her family reside in Aurora, Ontario, where she continues to serve her constituents as a dedicated Member of Parliament.
