Representative Taylor Yarkosky
Taylor Yarkosky, born on March 6, 1977, in Albia, Iowa, is an American politician. He serves as a Republican member for the 25th district of the Florida House of Representatives.
Yarkosky was raised in a middle-class family from a small Iowa farm town. The oldest of nine children, he learned the values of hard work, discipline, and integrity at an early age. After graduating from the University of Iowa in 1999, Taylor moved to Florida.
In his personal life, Yarkosky is married to Courtney Yarkosky and they have five children: Lauren, Kyle, Karsyn, Madelyn, and Mallory. They reside in Montverde, Florida. Professionally, Yarkosky is a business owner and contractor.
In August 2022, Yarkosky defeated Liz Cornell, Matthew Silbernagel, and Tom Vail in the Republican primary election for the 25th district of the Florida House of Representatives. In November 2022, he defeated Banks Helfrich in the general election, winning 66 percent of the votes.
Yarkosky’s current committee assignments include the Health & Human Services Committee, Joint Legislative Auditing Committee, Constitutional Rights, Rule of Law & Government Operations Subcommittee, Criminal Justice Subcommittee, and Local Administration, Federal Affairs & Special Districts Subcommittee.
