Norine K. Hammond is a dedicated and experienced member of the Illinois House of Representatives. She was appointed to the position in December 2010 to fill the vacancy left by the late Representative Rich Myers. She has been serving the people of Illinois ever since.

Born on September 21, 1952, in Berwyn, Illinois, Hammond attended Western Illinois University in Macomb. Before her appointment to the House of Representatives, she served as a Legislative Aide to Representative Myers from 1999 to 2010. Her commitment to public service also extends to local governance, having served as an Emmet Township Trustee from 2004 to 2006, and as Township Supervisor from 2006 to 2011.

In her role as State Representative, Hammond has taken on a number of important responsibilities. She serves as the Deputy Republican Leader and is a member of several committees, including Rules (as Republican Spokesperson), Consumer Protection, Executive, Human Services (as Republican Spokesperson), Public Utilities, and Gaming.

Hammond’s work in the House of Representatives is characterized by her dedication to her constituents and her commitment to improving the state of Illinois. She is known as a strong advocate for education, healthcare, and fiscal responsibility.
