Juan Barnett (born February 21, 1970) is an American politician who has served in the Mississippi State Senate from the 34th district since 2016. He was born on February 21, 1970, and is a member of the Democratic Party.

Before his tenure in the State Senate, Barnett served as the Mayor of Heidelberg from 2001 to 2016. He is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity and serves as Vice President CWA Local 3509. He is married to the former Jaqueline Lovett and is of the Baptist faith.

In the State Senate, Barnett has been assigned to various committees over the years. In the 2023-2024 term, he served on the Senate Corrections Committee as Chair, Senate Energy Committee, Senate Ethics Committee, Senate Executive Contingent Fund Committee as Vice Chair, Finance Committee, Judiciary Division A Committee, Judiciary Division B Committee, Public Health and Welfare Committee, and Veterans and Military Affairs Committee.

In the 2020-2021 term, he served on the Judiciary Division A Committee, Judiciary Division B Committee, Veterans and Military Affairs Committee, Senate Corrections Committee as Chairman, Economic and Workforce Development Committee, Senate Energy Committee, Senate Ethics Committee, Senate Executive Contingent Fund Committee as Vice-Chairman, and Finance Committee.
