Representative Alissandra Murray Contact information

Alissandra Murray is a member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives, representing Hillsborough 20. She is a member of the Democratic Party. Murray assumed office on December 7, 2022, and her current term ends on December 4, 2024.

Murray lives in Manchester, New Hampshire. She is a first-generation Nicaraguan-American who grew up in New Hampshire. She co-founded the Reproductive Freedom Fund of New Hampshire in 2019, which has distributed over $200,000 in funds to New Hampshire patients in need of an abortion. She also co-founded the Manchester Housing Alliance.

In addition to her legislative duties, Murray has been actively involved in community organizing. Since 2019, she has organized efforts to increase youth engagement with the legislature, deepen connections between community and government, and get out the vote.

Her career experience includes working as a wellness and culture director for the New Hampshire Youth Movement and as a regional organizer for Rights & Democracy New Hampshire. She also served as the deputy director of the Reproductive Freedom Fund of New Hampshire.

Murray is currently studying Communications in New Media at Southern New Hampshire University. She is also renovating her 105-year-old home in Manchester with her fianc.

In her role as a legislator, Murray has been assigned to the Criminal Justice and Public Safety Committee, where she serves as a Clerk. Her responsibilities in the committee include considering all matters relating to the criminal code, criminal justice, the Department of Corrections, sentencing, drug enforcement, bail, probation, parole, corrections facilities, DWI, domestic violence, firearms, fireworks, police and fire training, victim’s assistance, and other matters referred to the committee.

In the 2022 elections, Murray ran for election to the New Hampshire House of Representatives to represent Hillsborough 20. She won in the general election on November 8, 2022.
