William M. "Bill" Gannon, born in October 1962, is an American politician, attorney, and businessman. He is a member of the Republican Party and is currently serving as senator for the 23rd district of the New Hampshire Senate since year 2020.

William M. “Bill” Gannon, born in October 1962, is an American politician, attorney, and businessman. He is a member of the Republican Party and is currently serving as senator for the 23rd district of the New Hampshire Senate.

Gannon fell in love with New Hampshire during his youth, spending his childhood summers boating, fishing, swimming, and target shooting on local ponds. He decided to make New Hampshire his forever home.

He attended Saint Anselm College in Manchester, where he graduated with a B.A. in Political Science. He then went on to earn his J.D. from the Massachusetts School of Law. He currently runs a small construction business and is a practicing attorney.

Gannon and his wife, Janice, have four children who were educated in New Hampshire public schools. He is a Sandown Lions Club member and served as a volunteer youth soccer and basketball coach for many years.

From 2014-2016, Gannon served as a member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives, acting as a frequent floor speaker for the Election Law Committee. From 2016-2018, he served as Senator representing District 23 in the New Hampshire Senate. During this time, he served as Vice Chairman of the Transportation Committee and was also a member of the Judiciary and Executive Departments & Administration Committees.

Gannon was reelected to the Senate in 2020 and is currently serving his third term as Senator for New Hampshire’s 23rd District. He serves as Chairman of the Senate Commerce Committee and Vice Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee. As Senator, Gannon works tirelessly to ensure that the beliefs of his constituents are represented in Concord.

Gannon has a reputation of being a true conservative leader and a bipartisan problem solver, delivering real results for New Hampshire families. His Senate district covers twelve towns in central and Seacoast Rockingham County bordering Massachusetts.
