Connie Lane is a member of the Democratic Party and currently serves in the New Hampshire House of Representatives, representing Merrimack 16. She assumed office on December 7, 2022, and her current term ends on December 4, 2024. Prior to this, she held office in the New Hampshire House of Representatives, Merrimack 12.

Connie Lane lives in Concord, New Hampshire. She earned a B.A. in political science and history from the University of Georgia in 1977 and a J.D. from the University of Virginia in 1980. Her career experience includes working as the director of Orr & Reno, the executive director of the Legal Advice & Referral Center, and a lawyer.

She has served on the board of directors of the New Hampshire Housing Finance Authority, as the chair of the board of trustees of Red River Theatres, and on the Merrimack County Commission. She has been assigned to the Election Law Committee for the years 2023-2024, 2021-2022, and 2019-2020.

In the 2022 elections, Connie Lane ran for re-election to the New Hampshire House of Representatives to represent Merrimack 16. She won in the general election on November 8, 2022.

Connie Lane has lived in Concord since 1986, raising her two sons and practicing law. She has been active in the community throughout that time, including helping form two non-profits - one develops affordable housing and one provides free legal advice to low-income individuals. She has also served as Chair of the Red River Theatres, board member of NH Housing Finance Authority, been active in the Unitarian Universalist Church and in her sons’ school in various capacities. Her husband and she enjoy hiking and reading.
